Title -
Bite Me
(I know this has been taken before, but not by a Vampire Movie, and really, no name suits this movie better.)

Pitch line -
A human, that despises Vampires and their following, is unwittingly bitten in the night, and wakes up as a Vampire.

Synopsis -
Flare and Bree are two friends, who live together in an apartment. Flare is a huge fan of Vampire Films, and constantly forces Bree into watching old Horror Movies, much to Bree's disgust, as she despises absolutely everything Vampire-related. In the dead of the night, a mysterious shadow creeps through the apartment, and bites Bree's neck. A piercing scream fills the apartment, as Bree smacks the shadow away, and it disappears. But the bite mark remains. Bree assumes it was an insect or rodent, thinks nothing of it, and returns to sleep. But when she wakes, she realises something is wrong
Upon realising her reflection isn't visible in the mirror, and burning in the sunlight, she shuts all the curtains and rushes to Flare. Flare explains excitedly, that Bree has become a Vampire. Bree refuses to believe this, while Flare nags Bree to bite her. After a chain of events, and involuntarily almost killing several people, Bree finally believes that she is a Vampire, and turns to Flare for her guidance.
Flare is tremendously jealous of Bree's Vampire powers, and offers to teach Bree how to be a Vampire, and convince Bree to bite her. Bree refuses, and so Flare agrees to help Bree return to human, explaining that there is a Head Vampire that Bree must kill in order to become human again.
So the two set off on a chilling adventure, to find and kill the Head Vampire.

Bite Me First Draft-Sci

In the second draft, much of the tedious dialogue from the first draft has been taken out, and replaced with the vital bite scene. This establishes the genre and scene much more effectively than the previous screenplay had done.

Due to the excess of dialogue, I have removed all dialogue between the characters Bree and Flare. The audio from the TV will work as narration.

____________________________________________________________Sci - Character Profiles__

Flare
In the screenplay, she is described as;
"...a girl, roughly age 18, with fiery hair, and a fiery attitude. She wears red clothing."
She is the best friend and flat mate of Bree.

Age: 18
Gender: Female
Likes: Horror movies, the colour Red, stormy nights and Vampires.
Dislikes: Milkshakes, swimming and waking up early.
Personality: Optimistic, energetic, and an opportunist.

She is a huge fan of Vampire films, and despite her disagreements with Bree on the subject, she cares for Bree a lot, and agrees to disagree. This doesn't stop her enthusiasm for the genre, and she often drags Bree into things she doesn't want to be part of, without knowing.
She seldom gets angry, but can sometimes get upset when Bree yells at her. Though she is strong-willed, she is very oblivious at times, and insults or threats can fly over her head.

Her personality has been inspired by...
Left to Right; Pinkie Pie (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic), Ruby Gloom (Ruby Gloom), Bubbles (Powerpuff Girls), and Patsy Smiles (Camp Lazlo).
Bree
In the screenplay, she is described as;
"...looks uninterested. She has tied up brown hair, and wears blue."

She is the best friend and flatmate of Flare, however much she would like to deny it.

Age: 18
Gender: Female
Likes: Sports, (esp. running), being messy, grapefruits.
Dislikes: Horror movies, Vampires, romance, and anything else she finds cheesy or pointless.

Bree is a despiser of the horror genre, and often ridicules Flare for liking it so much. Bree is pessimistic, and short-tempered. She often bosses Flare around, often complaining about having to put up with her shenanigans. She can quickly get aggressive, and when threatened, will fight back hard.

Her personality has been inspired by...
Left to Right; Rainbow Dash (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic), Buttercup (Powerpuff Girls), Mandy (Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy), and Spinelli (Recess)

_________________________________________________________Harpreet - Locations

Richmond park:
Due to our idea about making a short film and inserting it inside our main film.. I thought this location at richmond park would be a good place to film.If the scene for Edrita and Billy was filmed here in the evening, because of the weather it may give the scene a cold and dull feel to it, which is what we would want as its an horror film. Also because we want the scene to be set in a forest or woods type of place, this may be the best location. The opening hours at richmond park also meet our needs, richmond park is open until late at night, therefore we can chose anytime to film,as there is no restrictions.

Gunnersbury park
However a better location i think may be at gunnersbury park, because we dont have to travel much, therefore time would be saved and we can use that time for improving our production and film. This loction also meets our needs and is similar to the setting we are looking for. The picture you see above already has arctic feel to it, this may be caused by the old building we see in the picture. Also filmed in evening will make the setting appeal more to horror genre, because this location on its own looks revolting.
The inspiration for this kind of setting was: Twilight.
Scene of Edrita and Billy filmed in a forest type setting.

______________________________________________________Manisha - lighting and make-up
lighting

As the light would come from the TV on to the two characters to show the characters face in light we are going to use a an extra light to shine their faces so the face can overpower from the rest of body, also it can be seen in the camera. The room light and the natural light would be avoided to make the scene dark. This will create a scary scene and genre is establish to the audience.

Living room and the kitchen connected together. kitchen light is will be on so we can see the Bree from the kitchen while Flair watch the movie. Then slowly the light of the kitchen goes dim so we can show the shadows of the bit scene clearly by using sharp light to form the shadows on the wall, also in the  camera clearly and to the audience.

Make-up

Flare is very gothic looking character, therefore her makeup would be pale looking face, eyes will be dark with black eyeliner, lips being bright red and her clothing will be dark coloured.
on the other-hand Bree is very spot like girl, her costume will be very plain looking polo T-shirt and plain black skirt, her face would be rose pink and lip just being in natural looks with just little clear lip gloss and eyes with little makeup.

______________________________________________________Manisha - iconography
  • We will be using tomato juice to signify blood- This prop will be used by Flare.
  • The two protagonist Flare and Bree would be watching a vampire movie within a movie.
  • We want a storm, with lighting, thunder, and rain. To give the scene a cold and dull feel to it by using sounds and atmospheric lighting.
  • A shadow as an vampire, the effect is that it would be mysterious.
  • Bree screaming (sounds) bitten by the vampire.
